Vienna based music production and mastering studios Swoon Factory has installed PMC MB2S-XBD-A active monitoring in its main control room. The studio, which handles recording, production and CD mastering, for both pop and classical music, chose PMC monitoring as a major part of a significant upgrade of its principal production and mastering facilities. The PMC monitoring was supplied and installed by AviTech, the company's Austrian distributor.

PMC monitoring was chosen for its extraordinary resolution and accuracy across the breadth of musical genre that Swoon Factory services. The main control room monitoring is used for tracking, mixdown and CD mastering projects. "We chose these monitors because they exactly fulfil our expectations," explains studio owner Bernhard Thurner. "They harmonise perfectly with our control room and they are state-of-the-art. They provide the best possible reference, especially in the mastering area."

The studio boasts a client base that includes majors like Sony Music and Universal, as well as a broad spectrum of local and international independent labels, producers and artists. Productions include everything from live rock bands to dance music and orchestral mix down sessions.
